Oftering is a little village in the central part of Upper Austria, close to the Blue Danube Airport Linz.

The municipality of Oftering consits of following districts and villages: Oftering (Oftering-Ort, Oftering-Haltestelle, Oftering-Feldbrücke), Freiling, Unterholz, Oberndorf, Kirchstetten, Hausleiten, Oberbachham, Mitterbachham, Niederbachham, Trindorf, Staudach and Oberbuch.

Oftering is located on the Westbahn railway between Wels and Linz, from Salzburg to Vienna, and has its own railway station in the Eastern part of the municipality.
