haslachInhabitants: 2.600

Haslach is a historical town in the north of Upper Austria with 2.600 inhabitants.

The town is located between the towns of Rohrbach and Helfenberg on the confluence of the two rivers "Grosse Mühl" and "Steinerne Mühl" which means in English something like "big and stony mill".

Haslach was long time in possession of the Bavarian city of Passau.  Haslach became a part of Austria in 1663. The foundation took place during the 12th century. The textile and weaving industry was always a big issue in the town.
