Ansfelden is a town in the central part of Upper Austria, which is located directly next to the motorway A1, close to the Southern part of Linz.

The municipality of Ansfelden consits of following districts and villages: Ansfelden, Audorf, Berg, Fleckendorf, Freindorf, Fürhappen, Grabwinkel, Haid, Kremsdorf, Moos, Nettingsdorf, Rapperswinkel, Vordermayrberg and Weissenberg.

It was at the end of the 8th century when Ansfelden was mentioned the first time in a document. In name of the village in those times was Albinsvelt.

The famous composer Anton Bruckner was born on the 4th September 1824 in Ansfelden, and also grew up there.
